About
Hey! I’m Zack. Since you clicked that little About link, you probably want to know about me. Here goes:
I’m an engineer at TaskRabbit.
I graduated from the University of Colorado in December 2011 with a degree in Journalism (who gets a journalism degree? Seriously).
In college I decided that for a school with 30,000 kids, 300 attending basketball games was ridiculous. So I built a student section, called C-Unit, that’s now nationally recognized. I learned a lot about how marketing fails on college students and how to bring people together towards a bigger cause.
During college, I started 59thirty to release a few iOS apps. I released three apps for the Denver/Boulder bus system, RTD. Of those apps, Beeline RTD 2 is currently for sale in the App Store. I also released My Reading List, a way to keep track of the books that you want to read in the future.
I also interned for Next Big Sound and TechStars.
After college, I did some contract work at Path doing user relations and then began seriously teaching myself how to code. In June 2012, I took an internship at TaskRabbit and starting building software full time. I haven’t looked back.
I’m always up for getting a cup of coffee or chatting on the phone, shoot me an email and let’s make it happen!
