The Price is Right
I don’t see the difference between becoming the host of The Price Is Right and getting appointed to the Supreme Court. You’re there for life or until you get some life-threatening disease. Or until Adam Sandler beats the shit out of you.

The Daily Show - March 12, 2009 - The Extended Jim Cramer Interview pt. 2
I doubt that when Jon Stewart took over The Daily Show years ago that he imagined down the road he would be attempting to keep the mainstream media in check, not only by making fun of their ridiculous coverage but also by going on shows and calling in some of the players that do such a disservice to reporting and, more...
Tron: Legacy Trailer →
I don’t know much about Tron. I’ve never seen the original but it’s in the Netflix queue now. Tron: Legacy looks badass though.

What's the best Twitter desktop client for my...
Every time a new Twitter client comes out for the Mac or the iPhone, I feel obligated to try it out.
On my iPhone I’ve gone through TweetDeck, Twitteriffic (Free), Birdfeed, Tweetie, TwitterFon, Twinkle and probably one or two others that I’m forgetting about.
On my Mac: TweetDeck, Seesmic Desktop, Tweetie (Free) and Twitteriffic in some kind of a rotation.
For your money (or at...

Universal Health Care: For or Against?
You don’t need to go into detail, you can if you want. For or Against works just fine.

Finishing "On The Road" on the road
Last night I labored through the last sixty pages of On The Road just to say that I finished it. I know that the book is considered to be a classic but I found myself so sick of Dean Moriarty’s character halfway through the story that I had to force myself to get through it all.
I know that On The Road is the kind of book that I’ll pick up again in a few years, flip through the pages...
On The Road
I guess I never thought this day would ever come, the day where I’d move out for good, move on into a world mostly my own. Well, that day is about a month away but starting tomorrow I’m on the road.
Beginning tomorrow is my mad dash around the East Coast which culminates in late August with a two day drive from Baltimore to Boulder, Colorado.
Pittsburgh to Baltimore, Baltimore to...

What brought you to Tumblr?
I’m always curious how people found Tumblr. I can’t really even remember how I ended up here but I’m glad I did. All I remember was it was around midnight on a Wednesday or Thursday last April when I said to myself, “Forget Wordpress, I’ll give this Tumblr platform a try.” Over a year later and I’m still as happy as ever.
Safari lacks crucial features found in Firefox
According to a June 4 report by The Apple Blog, Safari’s browser market share climbed to an all time high of almost three percent. Meanwhile, Firefox dominates Safari in the browser market, with a little over 30 percent market share.
Ever since the Safari 4 beta came out, Safari has been my browser of choice but it’s missing two distinct features that come with Firefox. Two...
Will Facebook and Twitter be around in 10 years?
I’ve had this conversation with a few people and each time their opinions have varied. Their opinions have projected their respective demises everywhere from next year to five years, fifty years to forever.
Personally, I see Facebook as a photo album for new generations which is why it will be around for many years to come. Just as out parents stored all of their photos in albums, we have...
Don't paint with a broad brush in this downturn
bijan:
And now in downturn 2.0 we are hearing many people make grand statements about big markets, like:
1. Online video is dead
Even though YouTube is close to posting profits, millions use Hulu and Vimeo. I’d argue just the opposite: online video is just getting started. Between Hulu working with the Networks and people posting more than ever to YouTube and Vimeo, online video is just...
Comcast's customer experience is a mind-numbingly...
Comcast’s customer service is shit. They can reply to you on Twitter all they want after you publicly complain but that doesn’t change the fact that after years of experience with their customer support, most of them don’t care and most importantly, don’t do their jobs correctly.
My experience this summer with Comcast has been one of frustration to say the least. When the...
Slumps
This week has been a strange one. I’ve been more absent from Tumblr than usual. Been thinking a lot, sorting a few things out in my head and writing a lot of music.
It’s weird being in a town that makes you feel like you’re in high school all over again. I figured when I left for college this feeling was in the books but coming back to Baltimore makes me feel 14 all over again....
Tumblr Listen
A while back I posted about Tumblr Links, and today, I guess, I just discovered that two of those three links, Tumblr Listen and Tumblr Photos, are only compilations of the tracks and photos on the Dashboard from people you are following, not the entire Tumblr stream. Tumblr Questions though presents the most recent questions asked on Tumblr regardless of who you’re following.
I know Listen...
Interview: Apologies, I Have None →
My latest interview with Apologies, I Have None is up on Punknews. If you’re a fan of Frank Turner or Against Me!, check these guys out!
punknewsorg:
London’s Apologies, I Have None may be unsigned, but the folk-punk duo have been generating quite a bit of buzz with their new EP Two Sticks + Six Strings.
Whatever company makes Airheads should sponsor Sarah Palin. Business match made...
Clarkson, Hammond or Captain Slow?
I really can’t decide who my favorite host of Top Gear is. I’m torn between Clarkson and Hammond.
Revüe: Brüno
I’m not entirely sure how to review Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest film, Brüno, without my critiques coming off a homophobic.
I enjoyed the film, not nearly as much as Borat, but enjoyed it nonetheless. The awkwardness was more than palpable, especially during the scenes in the South where Cohen capitalized on the homophobia.
Cohen’s movies feel like pornos in the sense that there...
Ichiro: classy man or classiest man? →
ironstring: oriolesmagic: gojaysgo:
This is a cool story. Turns out that Ichiro spent part of Monday visiting the St. Louis grave of Hall of Famer George Sisler, whose single-season hits record he broke in 2004. Ichiro very much wanted to pay his respects to Sisler, and brought flowers to leave at the gravesite.

Real world, here I come!
marykgo:
I just found out that I scored high enough on both of my tests to get a master’s degree at the end of the summer!!! Now all I need to do is enroll in a 3 credit independent study so I can officially graduate.
Oh…
I thought you made it on the next season of The Real World.
