What’s the best Twitter desktop client for my MacBook Pro?

Every time a new Twitter client comes out for the Mac or the iPhone, I feel obligated to try it out.

On my iPhone I’ve gone through TweetDeck, Twitteriffic (Free), Birdfeed, Tweetie, TwitterFon, Twinkle and probably one or two others that I’m forgetting about.

On my Mac: TweetDeck, Seesmic Desktop, Tweetie (Free) and Twitteriffic in some kind of a rotation.

For your money (or at least your harddrive space), which Twitter client would you pick for your desktop and why? I’m dying to have a definitive Twitter app on my MacBook.

  1. phantasme answered: DestroyTwitter for an extremely lightweight design, the first I’ve used and the only one I’ve stuck with.
  2. ags answered: still think tweetdeck is the best
  3. kevinrobotica answered: I agree with Hellamike, I always end up going back to the web ui. I don’t care enough about Twitter to have it constantly running.
  4. monsieurledan answered: journotwit.com because it filters your tweets in a really cool way
  5. keshav answered: I use DestroyTwitter
  6. david-noel answered: Tweetie. Hands down. Used Twhirl/Seesmic before but haven’t looked back. At all.
  7. hellamike answered: After trying all of these I always go back to the web interface. Sometimes I use Twitteriffic/Twhirl for notifications, then I check the web.
