Would you pay for your news online?
If you came upon a news source that you were interested in but it cost a certain amount, either a flat fee per year or a monthly fee, to access the entirety of the site’s content, would you pay for it?

I’d only really consider it if it were something comparable to the NYT. Their reader is worth paying for already.

Uhhhh not until free news sites all died.

Yes. But actually, I prefer news for free and to pay for white papers.

sliu answered:
I’m an international relations major. I NEED the news. So yes. As long as it was a reasonable amount (and cheaper than a paper subscription)

adamwhite answered:
No. I want a free diversity of opinion and sources. I wouldn’t want to feel obliged to read primarily from one source that I’m paying for.
-
peroty answered:
I don’t read the news now, so I sure wouldn’t pay for it.

singulus answered:
No.

megjersey answered:
No, not online because the site can delete it and then you lose access to older articles that you would’ve had the choice to keep with print.
