Eating, drinking and the immune system

The same principles that relate drinking alcohol and the human immune system also relate to eating and the immune system.

In short, the more work your body has to do to break down and digest (or attempt to digest) the unnatural additives that plague the American diet, the less energy there is for your body to fight infections or sicknesses that may enter your system. Just as you may feel sick after a night of heavy drinking due to a temporarily suppressed immune system and contact with someone who’s sick, you may feel just as sick after months of poor eating and contact with some kind of an illness.

There are ways to eat healthy foods that help to boost the functionality of the immune system. It’s overcoming the myth that healthy food always tastes bad that really is the first step. We’re all capable of eating in ways that will help our health 20-40 years from now it’s just that we live in America, which means that we don’t.
