Thanksgiving Break

Now’s the time of the year where we retell the wonderfully made-up story about how the Pilgrims and the Native Americans joined hands over a turkey and some canned cranberry sauce to forge the first Thanksgiving. More important than the story though is the fact that students all across the United States get a few days of much needed rest before teachers young and old pound their brains into jelly and mush with finals and papers. (And most importantly of all, pumpkin pie, but I digress…)

My particular university decided that it would lump Fall Break, a break which usually comes about for 5 or so days in mid-October at most other schools, in with the 5 day Thanksgiving Break that they have to give us. In short, I haven’t had a damn day off of school since Labor Day and these classes with all of the world and the extracurriculars are killing me! Not literally, but I could use a few days with nothing to do.
