The following applies to dates as well as formal or important meetings and meals.

1. Do not text. Everyone knows you’re doing it. It’s rude. You’re not fooling anyone.*

2. No one cares about your ringtone in the restaurant, put the thing on vibrate.

3. For the love of God take that damn Bluetooth out of your ear!
