MMA + kids = bad idea
Hate to be a prude about this but this seems like a very poor choice by the parents.  Scary.  The instructor who comes in half way into the report seems like a level-headed guy.  The guy in the red is a douche.

I was watching this on ESPN when you posted it. I have to agree, putting 3-10 year olds in MMA isn’t smart. The fighters that they had on to comment on all of this saw nothing wrong with throwing little kids in MMA. No one commented that those guys probably weren’t the smartest people in the world. Their heads have been banged around so much that all they probably know at this point is how to fight.

Little kids need to learn other things about life first before they learn how to fight. Humans aren’t animals that need to fend for themselves shortly after birth. We have parents (well, most of us at least) who take care of us and make sure that we’re safe until an age where we, psychologically, can handle the stresses of being in a fight. Then, I think, it’s ok to go into MMA but in no case should a kid be fighting before 10.

I understand what they’re saying about fighting teaching you about life. Tyler Durden asked, “How much can you know about yourself if you’ve never been in a fight?” Fighting can teach you about what you can and can’t do and how to adjust yourself in certain situations but no one needs to learn about themselves in that kind of  way until their teens. Putting 6-year-olds in MMA will just breed violent kids and super-bullys.
