The Way I Imagine The Internet

If I had to draw a picture of the way I think about the Internet it would look something like this (I’m going to describe it since I can’t draw to save my life):

There’s a giant hanger type place, a huge open room and in that room are dozens upon dozens of tables. At some tables, the people sitting are in suits. At other tables, the people are in sweatpants and dirty, stained t-shirts. Every table in the hanger is full with people and in front of each table is a white board. Everyone has computers and all these people do, is sit there and come up with lists.

You know, the lists you see on the internet everywhere: “Top 5 Cars of All Time,” “Top 10 College Mascots,” “Worst Dressed in Hollywood,” “Most Worthless Countdown Websites,” etc. You get the drift.

Anyway, the way I imagine the internet is all of these people just sitting around yelling and debating and crunching numbers until they come up with these lists, all day, every day.

And then they post them on Digg.
