QR Codes are like the quiet kid in the corner of the room who really wants to play with the other kids but isn’t too sure how. Strewn everywhere in Japan, the codes are seen few and far between in America.
This year South By Southwest is putting QR Codes on registrant badges. The hope is that the technology will pick up more in the US but can SXSW really make that much of a difference?
In past years Twitter and Foursquare really grabbed a hold at SXSW, will QR codes be this year’s Next Big Thing?

If the iPhone is the entry to trends, iPhone QR readers are slow because of restrictions of the camera in apps. Clumsy UI = low adoption.
