Upper Melinda

It’s almost Halloween and I haven’t seen any scary stories on Tumblr. Here’s a local one:

Back in Maryland a few minutes from my house is the grave if Upper Melinda. Melinda was a witch that taunted the people of Reisterstown in the 1800’s. She was deemed a witch and after she was hanged, she was cut in two. Before she was hanged though she placed a curse on Reisterstown and said that if anyone visted her grave, her two halves would creep closer and closer together until the two parts were finally reunited. She would then rise from the grave and unleash havoc on the town of Reisterstwon as payback for what they did to her.

No one has ever found the grave of Lower Melinda. Upper Melinda is located on unused farmland in Reisterstown.
