Twitter Confuses Me
As a person who has been interested in computers since I was five, I try to get my hands on certain services or websites and give them a whirl, even if it’s just for a week or two. Then I picked up Twitter.
I never got Twitter, still don’t. I’ve tried for months to get over it. I think it’s pointless and stupid but at the same time there’s something cool about communicating with people through a tiny string of text. I don’t know what it is.
I’ve had one, barely used it, embraced it for a little bit and then left for weeks at a time only to come back to leave one, unimportant tweet. I think it’s the fact that people can vent or just publish things in the open in bursts for no one or maybe someone to read. I can share a lot more through Tumblr than I can Twitter and frankly, I’ll stick to that but for some reason I can’t get off of Twitter.
If you’re in the same situation or you’re an addict or whatever you are, twitter.com/zackshapiro if you want to follow me and my random, sometimes funny, but mostly unimportant tweets.
