Actual serious question, looking for actual serious feedback!

Anyways, my dad bought my mom an ipod touch and it’s awesome. I get it now. I finally feel like I have a better feel for the touch screen and can type pretty well with only a couple hours practice. Here’s my query: I think I’d like to exchange my ipod classic for the 32GB ipod touch. There’s a price difference, but that’s not an issue. Do you like your ipod touch? I live in a large city so there’s some good free wifi spots and the building where I work has wifi. I don’t think I care so much anymore about having all my songs on my ipod. If I pay to get them off my old ipod then I’ll have them on an external harddrive.

My bigger question is, should I just get an iphone and be done with it? I have Verizon so it’s a move of carriers, but my phone bill is about $109 a month without any data stuff. I have tons and tons of minutes.

What is your suggestion?

My suggestion is wait til January when Apple announces 32 GB iPhones and make the jump. I liked Verizon but their phones sucked, after using an iPhone I’d never use another phone. Having my music right there is a huge plus too. One of the things that I loved about downgrading from an 80 GB iPod to a 16GB iPod Touch then to the iPhone is that I only put on the music that I like and that I listen to.

Let your old music go, the stuff that you have from back in the day but don’t listen to. It’ll be hard to let go of at first but you’ll get over it, I know I did.

It also depends where in the country you live and how the AT&T service is there? For me it’s great in Baltimore and Denver/Boulder (where I go to school). If the service is good enough for you, I’d definitely recommend making the iPhone leap, I pay $100 a month for the lowest amount of minutes, unlimited text messaging and the required data.
